There is compelling evidence globally that the one factor critical to business success is strong and effective leaders. Leadership is about ordinary people doing extraordinary things. It is the calibre of leaders personally, as well as the culture of leadership they create, that predicts organisational success. This course is designed to enhance your personal leadership style and to support your leadership journey.

Participants will re-examine how strong leaders build culture and align it with strategy to effectively transform organisations. Drawing from contemporary research and consulting, participants will see how the best leaders apply their knowledge, skills and influence to achieve tangible business results in rapidly changing environments.

Presenters

Professor Victor Callan

Victor Callan is an authority in the field of organisational change, leadership and employee performance and is highly regarded for his research and management consultancy with both the public and private sectors. He is the author of nine books on issues related to people and transition.

Professor Callan has been a management consultant for over twenty years, working with some of Australia's best known organisations. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Australian Institute of Management and the Academy of Social Sciences of Australia.

Mr Greg Latemore

Greg Latemore is an organisational and management consultant with over 25 years of consulting experience. He specialises in strategy, change, management development and team building. Mr Latemore is also a life member of the Australian Association for Psychological Type and a chartered member of the Australian Human Resources Institute and the Institute of Management Consultants.

Credit for UQBS postgraduate students

Students enrolled in the Graduate Certificate in Executive Leadership may apply to undertake this course for credit towards their postgraduate studies. This course is equivalent to MGTS7707 - The Leadership Challenge. Students wishing to gain credit must undertake all items of assessment.
