Firm Internationalisation

In an increasingly globalised world, growth of the Australian economy is at least partially dependent upon the performance of its international and internationalising firms. While the national interest is advanced with better performing firms, and more of them, internationalising firms confront a liability of foreignness and newness.

The research program aims to further our understanding of the nature and processes of firm internationalisation and how firms may derive advantage through cross-border business operations.

Researchers in the program are currently involved in a number of projects funded by grants from the Australian Research Council and other funding sources.
