| Title of Research Area |
Brief Description |
| Training, skills and workforce productivity: |
This area of research covers the factors influencing the utilisation of skills and knowledge in the workforce. My focus includes government-training policy and its application in industry, workforce skills and management strategy, workplace change and its effects on organisational knowledge and skill, skills training and equity in the workforce and changing technology and skill. My research interests build on my doctoral research. This work crosses boundaries with my research areas of women and work, industrial relations interests, my research into workplace change and work on gender in the workplace. |
| Industrial Relations |
My work in this area focuses on the industrial relations aspects of training and skills |
| Women in Management |
I am interested in all aspect of women's participation in the workforce but with an emphasis on women in management. My recent work has focussed on the mentoring of women moving into management positions. However, this research is embedded in a broader context and aims to enhance our understanding of Human Resource Management practice. |
