Field of Current Research

Title of Research Area Brief Description
Marketing Methods and Models The world is becoming increasingly quantitative, with many potential applications of quantitative methods and models to marketing problems. A focal point of interest is the application of latent variable models to choice problems (including consumers' preferences for carbon reduction strategies).
Brands and Consumer Behaviour The role of brands in consumer behaviour is becoming increasingly important. Specific areas of interest include consumer identification and brands as signals. Research in these areas has the potential to contribute much to our understanding of consumer behaviour and choice.
Relationship Management Relationships are ubiquitous in marketing and the field of relationship management is concerned primarily with the initiation, maintenance and termination of relationships. A specific topic of interest is the development of "relational norms" (trust, commitment) in business and industrial marketing relationships.
