Who you'll learn from 

Dr Ihtisham Malik is a Lecturer in Finance at The University of Queensland. Receiving his PhD in finance from UQ in 2020, he was the recipient of a highly competitive International Postgraduate Research Scholarship and the UQ Centennial Scholarship. Throughout his decade-long teaching experience both in Australia and internationally, Ihtisham has taught in-person and online undergraduate and postgraduate finance courses. His focus areas include Asset Pricing, Derivatives and Banking, and Managerial Finance.  Ihtisham is currently working with Executive Education at the UQ Business School, where he is the Academic Lead for the joint public sector finance program with the Queensland Treasury Corporation.

Ihtisham is actively involved in finance research and has published scholarly work in highly ranked academic journals. His research topics include climate risk and resilience, asset pricing, and insider trading. He has also secured several internal and external travel grants from within UQ and other esteemed organisations, such as American Finance Association and East West Centre US, to present his research internationally.
