The University of Queensland Business School exclusively invites you to attend our upcoming Thought Leadership Evening: Planning for Sustainability – business strategies to promote environmental resilience on Thursday 14 March 2019.

Environmental sustainability is now a global priority. Countries are committed to combating climate change with international agreements, and businesses are facing increased pressure to integrate sustainable practices.

But what exactly does this look like for organisations? How can companies embrace sustainability as a strategic imperative rather than an operational choice, to meet challenges and embrace the opportunity to plan for resilience and a sustainable future?

Professor Andrew Griffiths and Dr Belinda Wade, specialists in strategy and corporate sustainability,  will discuss initiatives and sustainability strategies organisations can integrate to build resilience, and champion environmentally and socially conscious business practices.

The speakers will also analyse the challenges and opportunities of applying sustainable strategies in the future market environment; including growing global population demands, increased urbanisation, the advancement of new technology and emerging business models.

Guests will have the opportunity to network with UQ alumni and industry guests over drinks and canapés.
