The July Research Students' Colloquium has been postponed, a new date will be advised when possible.

The Research Students' Colloquium showcases the research ideas of the Business School's Honours and PhD students.

The event is a high point for the School’s academic calendar, featuring opening and closing presentations by graduates and/or senior researchers. The 2020 Research Students' Colloquium will be held on Friday 31 July at UQ Brisbane City.

One of the main purposes of the Colloquium is to provide support and constructive feedback for our early career researchers. In addition to this, the event aims to accomplish several important purposes:

  • Preparing students for the experience of presenting papers at conferences
  • Giving students the benefit of broad comment and critique by staff and fellow students
  • Showcasing student research so that it can be more effectively communicated to the media
  • Highlighting the importance of impact measures in assessing research
