Researcher biography
Bichen Guan is a Research Fellow at the University of Queensland Business School. Bichen has earned her PhD in Management from Macquarie University in June 2020. Before Bichen joined UQ Business school in January 2022, she held a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the University of Technology Sydney Business School. Bichen has dedicated to the research of employee emotional management, interpersonal relationships, employee well-being, organisational trust, and psychometric assessments to help organisations and individuals to make a better workplace.
Bichen's research examines how employees' emotion regulation strategies impact well-being and performance outcomes in ongoing service relationships and how interpersonal relationships impact the way people manage emotions of self and others. Bichen also has experience in developing and validating psychometric assessments of cognitive abilities and personality traits to help organisations to identify and develop talent.
Bichen's research works have been published in Personality and Individual Differences and Frontiers in Psychology, and presented at the Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management in Chicago and Boston and Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management conferences in Melbourne, Auckland, and Cairns.
