Samira is a PhD candidate in Strategy and Entrepreneurship Discipline. Her research focuses on the role of technologies and innovation on empowering women entrepreneurs/female-led small businesses. She completed her master’s degree in Business, majoring in Sustainability and Social Impact as well as a Graduate Diploma in Technology and Innovation Management at UQ Business School in 2016, and was awarded Dean’s Honour Roll as well as Dean’s Commendation for academic excellence. She has since been involved in various academic activities, such as teaching, research, and project management of UQ Business School Postgraduate Case Competition. Prior to commencing her master’s degree, Samira completed her bachelor’s degree in International Business Consultancy, majoring in International Marketing and Sales, and worked in several global IT companies for several years.
