Samira Zare has received her PhD in Tourism from James Cook University, Australia. Since then, she has been working as a research and teaching assistant in the Business School of The University of Queensland. She has research experiences within the areas of destination marketing, travel memories and peer-to-peer accommodation networks, sustainable tourism and experience design. In 2020 she won the highly commended winner of Emerald and EFMD outstanding doctoral research award for her PhD thesis titled recall and post-trip evaluation of tourist destinations: the effect of travel order. Samira serves as a reviewer in a number of prestigious journals such as Annals of Tourism Research, Journal of Sustainable Tourism, Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Management, and Journal of Destination Management and Marketing. She is experienced in teaching tourism, hospitality, events and marketing subjects.
