“The UQ MBA Student Scholarship alleviated the burden of resigning from a job I loved to enrol in the full-time intensive program for a year. It also provided reputation benefits and career advantages in addition to the MBA letters after my name! Being awarded an MBA scholarship was an honour which signalled my personal work ethic and determination to succeed to employers.”
– Suzanne Wood, UQ MBA alum
Wandering Warriors
Wandering Warriors is an additional MBA scholarship that supports veterans transitioning from the Australian Defence Force into civilian life. Valued at 50-100% of tuition fees, the scholarship is awarded every semester to up to 3 domestic students who are members of the Wandering Warriors Inc and who meet all the MBA entry requirements.
Elevate: Boosting women in STEM
Elevate: Boosting women in STEM is an external scholarship that aims to address gender inequities in STEM by strengthening the academic, professional and leadership skills of women. The scholarship is on offer to domestic students who identify as a woman and are planning to undertake a STEM degree or an MBA at an Australian university.

Are you eligible for FEE-HELP?

Alternative payment options
If you aren’t eligible for FEE-HELP, you may need to make your own arrangements to cover tuition fees.
This can include:
- applying for a bank loan
- organising a private loan with family members
- having a certain amount paid by your current employer
- asking your employer to support your studies
- learning more about financial aid for international students
MBA pathways and study load
Depending on your circumstances, you might like to consider how being enrolled in a pathway program or your study load affects the overall MBA costs.
Studying full-time and part-time
The UQ MBA offers flexible study options to suit your personal circumstances, meaning you can complete the program in as little as 1 year or part-time up to 10 years. However, it’s worth noting the more time spent completing the program can incur more costs, as annual tuition fees generally increase between 4-6% each year.
Graduate certificate pathway
If you don’t meet entry requirements to the MBA upfront, you can start with the graduate certificate. Currently, if you transition from the graduate certificate into the MBA, your tuition fees will remain the same. Students are encouraged to start with the MBA if they meet the entry requirements and exit early with the graduate certificate if your circumstances change.
