The Security and Resilience Research Hub advances interdisciplinary research, industry collaboration, and researcher capability in security, risk and organisational resilience – generating high-impact knowledge that informs policy, strengthens practice, and enhances the resilience of individuals, organisations and communities facing complex and extreme challenges.
It addresses complex challenges such as cybersecurity, resilient critical infrastructure, supply chain and food security, crisis leadership, disaster response and organisational adaptation in extreme contexts including fires, floods, storms, pandemics and geopolitical disruptions.
Through structured partnerships, capacity building initiatives and applied research, the Hub aims to inform policy and practice and deepen engagement with industry and community stakeholders.

Developing Secure and Resilient Systems for Queensland
Join us on 18 September at UQ's St Lucia campus for the Queensland Security and Resilience Summit , which will bring together leading voices from across government, defence, critical infrastructure, cybersecurity, industry, finance, emergency services and academia to confront the defining security and resilience challenges of our time.
Designed for staff or researchers from UQ or another university, Industry or government partners, Alumni, and UQ students (including HDRs), the Summit will provide rare cross-sector dialogue that organisations need to navigate a world of escalating strategic competition, digital disruption, supply chain fragility, climate stress, and geopolitical uncertainty.
