Gain access to career and employability programs

From employer-led workshops to one-on-one consultations there's a program, event, workshop or presentation to assist you in developing your employability whilst studying at the Business School.

As an undergraduate or postgraduate student you might be looking for your first job, internship or just a step in a new direction. The BEL Student Employability Team (SET) is dedicated to assisting students to increase their employability, access opportunities to meet and network with employers and industry professionals, and assist with managing their careers.
Recognising the diversity of our MBA student body, the MBA Career Resource Centre provides personalised career solutions that match your individual circumstances. Our specialist Career Consultants work with you to understand your career expectations, and how they can assist with employment opportunities. There is also a range of career events, industry meet and greets and networking opportunities.
UQ Employability offers a range of services throughout your time at university. From support in your first years through the UQ Employability Award, to helping you think about your first steps after graduating university. The UQ Careers Fair is an opportunity to meet with hundreds of employers on campus, or if you're after something more intimate, you can meet with a UQ Career Advisor.

Business Industry Placement

A Business Industry Placement is a unique opportunity available to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. The course offers no traditional lectures, no tutorials and no textbooks, instead you undertake a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) placement working in an industry setting.

The University has developed a massive open online course (MOOC) to assist you to develop your employability.
