It’s time to get together to reconnect, reminisce and celebrate!
Join us at UQ on Saturday 6 August to celebrate and reconnect with fellow Bachelor of Commerce graduates. Your ticket includes entry to a lecture and celebration event at the stunning new Patina Restaurant. This new venue has floor to ceiling glass windows overlooking a beautiful, lush rainforest as well as the heritage-listed sandstone you know and love.
Lecture
We are pleased to provide the opportunity for you to head back to class and take in a lecture by Professor Stephen Gray BCom (Hons) '86, LLB (Hons) '90, who is the Malcolm Broomhead Chair in Finance at UQ Business School. No homework or textbooks required; we promise!
Time: 5pm-6pm
Venue: Lecture room E302, Forgan Smith Building (1), UQ Great Court, St Lucia Campus
Celebration
Following the lecture, please join fellow classmates for the inaugural Commerce Alumni Celebration - an evening filled with entertainment, great food, excellent company and good times against the backdrop of the iconic UQ Great Court. Drinks and canapés will be served throughout the evening.
Time 6pm-9pm
Veue: Patina at Alumni Court (16), in between Goddard and Parnell Buildings, UQ Great Court.

Do you have a classic snap from your student days? We’re creating a photo album for you to contribute to (bonus points for iconic hairdos and funky fashion).
Your pictures of past memories may feature on our social media channels, and most will be added to our slideshow collection, ready for us to reminisce during the celebration.

Return to class for one more day
Keen to make a weekend of it? Join us back on campus on Sunday 7 August for “Back to UQ Day” as UQ opens up to alumni with a day full of tours, talks and activities.
Whether you have a close-knit cohort to catch up with or are interested in visiting campus to see what's changed and what's new, it'll be an unmissable day of activities.
Here’s a taste of what’s on offer:
- Join alumni-exclusive campus tours exploring the history of our stunning St Lucia grounds;
- Go back to class for the day with pop-up research talks for alumni from some of UQ’s leading researchers;
- Get up-close to UQ’s cultural treasures at our Museums and Libraries;
- Visit your favourite historical buildings and cutting-edge new facilities.
We'll cap off the day with a sunset celebration at the stunning new Patina Alumni Court restaurant. With a pop-up bar, music, kids craft activities on the lawn, and the Great Court cloisters as our backdrop, it will be a soiree to remember.
