Restoring trust in major institutions is high on the agenda in Australia.

While recent public enquiries have uncovered systematic failings of ethical culture, integrity, and governance in a number of sectors, they also provide a platform for change and rebuilding trust.

In a global pandemic, this opportunity is heightened. Despite many politicians and individuals questioning public health responses such as lockdown measures and vaccination, we have seen growing support for expert opinion. Universities have a critical role to play in generating evidence-based solutions to global problems.

Join moderator and UQ Chancellor, Mr Peter Varghese AO, along with UQ trust experts Professor Matthew Hornsey and Professor Nicole Gillespie, and James Mabbott, Partner in Charge at KPMG Futures, as they explore how trust in organisations and institutions can be built, restored, and preserved.
