Researcher biography

Zhe (Selina) is a Research Fellow in Strategy and Entrepreneurship at the UQ Business School. She is also an ARC Research Fellow at the ARC Centre of Excellence in Synthetic Biology. Her research revolves around entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem value creation, orchestration and change with the impact of digitalization. A large share of Selina's current research investigates novel ecosystem forms of university-industry collaboration for grand challenges in the digital age. Selina's work uses a multidisciplinary approach and quality research methodology. Her teaching focuses on idea management, innovation and entrepreneurship.

Selina obtained her PhD in Management and Entrepreneurship from Imperial College London in London, UK. During her PhD, she held a visiting position at the Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, where she conducted fieldwork on the Alibaba innovation ecosystem evolution and orchestration. She was also an Entrepreneurship Coach at the Imperial Enterprise Lab, supporting more than 200 entrepreneurs with their idea development and validation. Before joining Imperial College London, she worked as an auditor at the PwC Philadelphia and Toronto offices.
