Foreign Trade University partnership

As a student of the i-honours bachelor (advanced) program at Foreign Trade University (FTU), Hanoi, you'll spend 2 years studying the Bachelor of Advanced Business (Honours) at The University of Queensland at The University of Queensland (UQ) and graduate with 2 degrees.

You’ll start your adventure at FTU studying your first 2 years in the i-honours bachelor (advanced) program, followed by 2 years at UQ (Brisbane) in the Bachelor of Advanced Business (Honours) program.

How it works

You’ll apply to FTU for the i-honours program and if successful, undertake your first 2 years of study in Hanoi. At the end of your 4th semester, you’ll transfer to UQ (July intake) for the final 4 semesters of the Bachelor of Advanced Business (Honours) degree.

You'll graduate with:

  • a major in Business Analytics and a major in International Business from UQ 
  • the i-honours advanced bachelor from FTU.

Note: successful candidates will not undertake a research pathway option at UQ but will complete two majors.

Eligibility

You must:

  1. Apply directly to FTU and meet the competitive entry requirements of FTU.
  2. Successfully complete the required duration at FTU including all subjects required for credit transfer.
  3. Apply directly to UQ and meet the UQ English Language Proficiency requirements based on your 2 years of studies at FTU in the i-honours (advanced) program.

Admissions

FTU will assist all eligible students in how to apply to UQ and will work with an appointed education agent for assistance with the visa process.

Fees and costs

Refer to the Bachelor of Advanced Business (Honours) fees and scholarships for the latest fees information.

Students under the partnership arrangement are eligible for a scholarship when they begin studies at UQ in Brisbane, being a 25% reduction in tuition fees each semester (maximum 4 semesters).
