Five UQ Business School students won places to attend the inaugural conference of Universitas 21 (U21), the international network of 23 leading research-intensive universities, which was held in the US.

The U21 Doctoral Research Conference in Business was hosted by the University of Connecticut and attended by students and faculty staff from 11 of the U21 network members. They included Syaiful Ali, James Clarke, Rand Low, Rebecca Michalak and Pablo Pinto from UQ Business School, along with Professor Victor Callan, the school’s Research Director who also acted as a moderator.

Professor Callan said: “The U21 conference aims to facilitate collaboration between leading research-intensive universities and create opportunities on a scale that none of them would be able to achieve operating independently. The conference provided an opportunity for doctoral students to present and workshop their papers, and to establish links between students and faculty members from institutions around the world.”
