UQ Business School staff, alums and their guests enjoyed an evening of networking over drinks and canapés, before heading to the main event, an advanced movie screening of Lee Daniels’ The Butler.
The star studded cast, including Oprah Winfrey, Forest Whitaker, Robin Williams and John Cusack (to name just a few), tell the remarkable story of a White House butler who served eight American presidents over three decades. The film traces the dramatic changes that swept American society during this time, from the civil rights movement to Vietnam and beyond.
The evening was enjoyed by all, with 1992 MBA graduate Andrew Curthoys, Infrastructure, Planning and Projects Manager at QPAC commenting on the “great venue, powerful movie and lots of social interaction”.
