UQ Business School recently welcomed visiting EBS Business School Professor Dr Andreas Heinecke.
CEO and Founder of Dialogue Social Enterprise, Professor Dr Andreas Heinecke gave a public lecture on the gist and challenges of transforming the classroom into a social incubation hub which attracted approximately 50 academics, students, and practitioners in the space of social enterprise.
UQ Business School Strategy Lecturer Anna Krzeminska said having a social entrepreneur of Andreas’ calibre and profile visit was a truly unique experience.
“Andreas is not only an outstanding social entrepreneur but also an outstanding academic who has exceled at designing highly innovative curricula that transform students into future leaders capable of dealing with our society’s most pressing issues. We hope to be able to invite him back again soon,” she said.
Professor Heinecke also engaged in two career coaching sessions for undergraduate, postgraduate and MBA students during his visit which focused on responsible leadership and social impact.
Social innovation is a key area of interest for Professor Heinecke and he also shared his insight into social innovation with over 30 undergraduate and postgraduate students, he also acted as ‘social entrepreneur in residence’ for staff and students advising on social enterprise research, careers, and teaching curricula.
Following his visit to UQ Business School Professor Andreas Heinecke continued his travels to Melbourne where he appeared in several national media outlets such as ABC Radio and TV.
