‘Plan for this once a decade’: Expert predicts industry booms in preparation for future pandemics.

“COVID-19 won’t be the last’”, warns a leading business experts who is predicting growth in several key industries as global businesses move to mitigate risk for future pandemics.

Business School Honorary Senior Fellow Dr Rand Low has predicted that key international industries – including construction, automotive and commercial technology industries – would see future growth as “governments, companies and individuals” move to mitigate risk from future crises, when he spoke to The Courier Mail.

However, Dr Low believes an ever-increasing appetite for international trade brings an increased susceptibility for future pandemics.

“It is rational to expect that a pandemic can happen once a decade given the degree of international travel, globalised trade, and supply chains that we have today,” Dr Low said.
