Two UQ Business School lecturers have won further recognition for their teaching skills in the university’s annual awards.

Dr April Wright and Associate Professor Frank Alpert were amongst the prize winners in the 2012 UQ Excellence in Teaching and Learning Awards, which acknowledge dedicated and inspirational teachers.

The accolades are the latest in a series for April and Frank, who have won various awards in the past from the university in recognition of their teaching skills.

April, who is a Senior Lecturer in Strategy, earlier this year received a Commendation for Teaching Excellence, while Frank, who is Associate Professor in Marketing, was given a Citation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning.

Andrew Griffiths, Dean of UQ Business School, said: “We would like to congratulate April and Frank on their latest successes. The awards highlight the high quality of teaching at UQ Business School. Good teachers are the cornerstone of a good university and play a key role in developing the next generation of business leaders.” The awards are a highlight of UQ's Teaching and Learning Week (29 October – 2 November).
