Two UQ Business School academics have been recognised for their performance and success in learning and teaching at the UQ Awards for Excellence in Teaching and Learning held at Customs House on Monday, 2 November.
Provost Professor Max Lu and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Professor Joanne Wright hosted the evening where strategy expert Dr Lance Newey was awarded a UQ Citation for his Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning, and lecturer in marketing Dr Nicole Hartley was recognised with a commendation for her Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning.
Dr Newey’s citation and Dr Hartley’s commendation was for ‘Pitching perfect: transforming the classroom into an agency, developing creative confidence in students through experiential marketing and advertising projects for real world industry partners.’
Dr Hartley has also recently been appointed to the position of Program Leader, Master of Business.
UQ Business School Dean Professor Andrew Griffiths said that these awards recognise our academics commitment to improving the student experience and engaging with industry.
